Mr. & Mrs. Staples, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your son Leon, Jr. I met Leon in 2013 when I applied for a position at the Georgia World Congress Center on the recommendation of a mutual friend. I was offered the job and worked with Leon for several years, until he left for bigger and better things. Can I just say that your son was so brilliant. So eloquent in speech. So articulate. So personable. Charming. So willing to do what it takes to get things done. And man, could he work a room! I so admired his ability to never meet a stranger. I envied it really. I was and still am, so saddened at the fact that the world has lost this giant of a personality. Thank you for sharing him with us. I know he still working the room in heaven. God bless you Leon. Love you.

Staples Family, I was blessed to meet your Leon on the Shorter University AGB years ago and then we also discovered that we were involved in the same NBMBAA chapter. We shared the common interest and concerns in community and helping people! All conversations with Leon was always positive, forward thinking and motivating. He represented God's love in his interactions. We also had some laughs here and there. My prayers and thoughts are with you ALL in the days and years ahead. Be patient with yourself, allow yourself to feel what you feel and take one day at a time with much continued Prayer.

Tribute to Leon Staples
I only met Leon once and that was at our 20th Anniversary Conference in Ypsilanti in 2018. He was representing our Atlanta Chapter. Once you met him however, he left a positive lasting impression on you. He did with me. I saw in Leon an up and coming servant leader, and as Chairman I was looking forward to working with him. His commitment to the organization and our local chapter was evident at the conference and you felt that whatever he touched he would make it better.
Hearing about his passing left a void in me. A young, outstanding, potential servant leader was taken away from his family, his chapter and our organization too soon. However, his 39 years on this earth will not go unnoticed. His contributions and journey although too short, will be remembered by all of us in NAAAHR.
As Chairman of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources, I extend our sincere sympathies and prayers for Gods grace and mercy to Leons family and the Atlanta Chapter.
Sincerely
Nathaniel Nat Alston

My sincere condolences to Leon Staples and Della on the passing of your son Leon Jr.
Even thou its been years since we all have spent time together with you Leon and your family no one can ever forget the Staples family.
Many good times were had on and off the job so I will pray for you Leon, Della and Chandra so that god will comfort your family during this time of sorrow.
Little Leon was way too young to be taken so early and will be missed by all who knew him. I know that everyone that worked with Leon Sr., knew his son, since he tagged along with his dad at many functions.
I personally will never forget that cute little smile that Leon Jr., displayed just like his father.
Leon and Della your son was a wonderful kid that was very well behaved among the adults. May your son Leon Jr., aka Chopper, R.I.P. as he ventures on his new journey into the heavens.
God bless your entire family during these times now and in the future and never forget the memories your family shared with Leon Jr. as they are precious. Always keep these memories in a special place close to your hearts.
