Mabel I. Bloomer

Bloomer, Mabel I. (Nee Ansel) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at the age of 91. Cherished mother of Richard (Jill) Kurimsky of Mequon and Bonnie Schultz of Thiensville. Adored grandmother of Margo (John) Dolan, Amy (Peter) Keppler, and Andrew Alarupi. Proud great-grandmother of Jake, Adam, Abby, Benjamin, and Sophia. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry. Mabel and her husband owned the Gold Craft Shoppe in Mequon and created beautiful handmade gold jewelry for 27 years. She was an avid golfer and also enjoyed curling and dancing whenever she had the opportunity. Mabel loved being in the company of her many friends and greatly appreciated their visits. No story about Mabel is complete without mentioning how much joy her dogs brought to her and how much she loved chocolate. Many thanks to those friends and volunteers that helped her with daily tasks and rides after she lost her eyesight. A memorial service will be held at CROSSROADS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH-6031 W Chapel Hill Rd, Mequon, WI on Friday, January 26, at 3:00 PM. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 2:00 PM until the the time of service. If desired, memorials can be made to the Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club.
