Madonna Ann Young

Young, Madonna Ann (Nee Owens) Donna passed away on Valentines Day, old enough to know better and young enough not to care. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Walker. Together they raised 14 wonderful children: Madonna Ann (Jay) Williams, Walker Januarius (Susan), Margaret Therese (Chris) Wright, Sarah Marie Hansen, Timothy Owens (Susan), Jamie Eileen (Tom) Kraina, Amy Louise (Ken) Brengel, Frederick O'Flavius (Joy), Maureen Gerard (Rick) Stalle', Patrick Maurice (JoAnn), Martha Eulalie (Joe) Olla, Bridget Mary (Derek) Grams, Fitzgerald Joseph Halliburton (Kerry), Magdalene Agnes (Moe) Drane. In addition, 42 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Loved and admired by all, including her children's spouses, sister Geraldine, and many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her daughter Jamie, grandson Christopher, sister Maureen, brother Maurice, and sister Rosemary. Donna was an inspiration for all of us; truly a remarkable person, Irish-yes, thoughtful and kind always. A talented woman in many ways, Donna graduated from Mundelein College in Chicago, with an art major. Her view of the world was captured on canvas. An avid golfer... who didn't love to play golf with her? Mom was that home base for the entire family; we could always count on her to keep us grounded. Donna saw beauty in all things; there wasn't a color she didn't love. Mimi, we shall miss your true spirit; may it live in our hearts and those of our children. We are thankful for all the love shown by the caregivers at New Castle, Comfort Keepers, and Horizon Hospice. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 21, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home, followed by a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 12:00 noon, at St. Monica Catholic Church, corner of East Silver Spring Drive and North Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery will be private for the family.
