Mark Redmond Obituary

Age 51, of Delafield, entered into Eternal Life on Mon., June 20, 2005. Born in Milwaukee on May 16, 1954 to Thomas and Mildred I. (nee Limberg) Redmond. Mark was a graduate of Marquette University High School (MUHS) in 1972 and received his B.S. in Finance from Marquette University in 1976, the same year he and his father Tom started Redmond Construction Company (RCC). Working together, Tom and Mark grew RCC from a start-up idea to a strong local construction company. In Sept. 2000, Tom retired and Mark purchased Tom's interest in the company. Today, the newly named The Redmond Company (TRC), has grown to a vertically integrated firm with separate divisions working in the Retail, Financial, Commercial, Residential and Service market sectors. TRC provides in-house strategic consulting and demographic analysis to design and construction management. It is extremely important to Mark to be active in the growth and development of institutions of learning. He was very involved in MUHS, Marquette University, Nativity Jesuit Middle School, Hebron House of Hospitality, St. Anthony's on the Lake Catholic Church, In the Paint Midnight Basketball League, MS Society, TEC International, Advisory of Johnson Bank, ICSC and Woodstock Business Conference. His extensive involvement in business and charities came second to his family. Mark played a crucial role in his children's education, coaching sports and introducing them to the great outdoors and the beauty of God. Survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Niebler), whom he married on June 11, 1977, children Ryan Redmond and Kristina Redmond, father Thomas (Lynne) Redmond, brother Briant (Debbie) Redmond and sisters Colleen (Mark) Sikora and Michelle (Breck) Ward. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his mother Mildred and brother Neil. Visitation Thurs., June 23 from 4-8 PM at St. Anthony on the Lake, W280 N2101 Hwy SS, Pewaukee. Services continue at the church on Fri., June 24 with the Funeral Mass at 11 AM with Reverends Thomas Venne and Joe Hornacek officiating. Interment Sat., June 25 at 11 AM at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made payable to the "St. Anthony Mark Redmond Peru Fund", W280 N2101 Hwy SS, Pewaukee, WI 53072. These contributions will be used to open a hospice to help the ill and dying of Santisimo Sacramento, the sister parish of St. Anthony on the Lake, in Piura, Peru.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mark was always so involved at St. Anthonys and his heart was always directing his efforts to improve the parish. I am sure that Mark is now at home - a journey that we all must take and he was lucky to reach his destination early. Our prayers are with those he has left behind - but know he will be with you for the rest of your journey home to join him.
