I am very sorry to hear that Mark Teply passed away. He guided my first steps at UWM during my exchange stay in the academic year 1988/89. I will always remember his kind support for all his exchange students.

I'm so glad I got to visit with Mark and the rest of his family at the reunion this summer. I have fond memories of family dinners at his house when we were kids. Memories of red, white and blue jello; of Mark locking us cousins in Uncle John's basement room; of bending our elbows at a pub in Lincoln while Steve played the banjo. I'll miss him, but I'm thankful for the memories.

To the whole Teply family,
I have such fond memories of all my time with you at all Stephanie's and my rehearsals and concerts together (but especially the quartet rehearsals at your house!). I was so thrilled to hear of Stephanie's recent wedding, and incredibly saddened to hear of your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are always with you. Love, Wendy

Our sympathies and prayers are with you on the passing of Professor Teply. I never met him since I joined the UF department with the Emch Chairmanship and outside recruitment, but he has been mentioned to me.
