CROSS PLAINS – Robert C. Arthur, age 79, passed away February 10, 2026, after a long illness. Bob was self-employed as a successful remodeling contractor and restored Frank Lloyd Wright homes in Oak Park and Hyde Park, Ill., as well as remodeling projects in N.C. and many residences in the Shorewood and Maple Bluff communities. Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary; sister, Carolyn (Ed) Krasnowski; sons, Paul (Jude) of California and Luke (Susanna) of Iceland. He was a loving grandfather to Isabelle, Connor and Evelina. A Memorial prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, followed by a luncheon and celebration of Bob's life from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
