Burke, Mary Elizabeth (Nee Hurley ) Passed on Fri. Sept. 18. Mary was born to life on Oct. 27, 1948. Her mom and dad were in awe of their little red-head. Mary had a love for life. She embraced family, her friends, her Irish heritage, and ALL holidays. She married Russ Burke on Sept. 29, 1979. Together, they built a life and had two children, Russ and KC, the lights of their lives. Through the years, Mary was known for her epic Christmas parties, trips to the State Fair, and last, but not least, her favorite holiday, St. Patrick's Day at Derry's. Mary is survived by her mother, Elaine Hurley (nee Gretzinger), husband, Russ Burke, beloved children Russ Burke, KC and Andrew Atkins. She is predeceased by her father, Kenneth Hurley. Further survived by her sister Pat (Ray) Williams and her brother Chuck (Lori) Hurley, and her nieces and nephews, and many other loving relatives and lifelong friends. Visitation will take place from 4-6 PM, with Memorial Services at 6 PM at the Funeral Home on Tues. Sept. 22. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. We'll miss you Mary Christmas.

Dear Russ, KC and Russ my deepest sympathy to you over such a great loss. Mary was a friend for over 35 years. She will be dearly missed. I wish I had a chance to see her this summer. She will live on in memories forever. She was a special friend.

Dearest Russ, KC, and Russ Jr.

My heartfelt sympathies are with you. Mary was a huge part of my life, teaching me to party, to bowl, what a truly good friend was, and that turning 30 was really not all that bad when surrounded by friends and family. She was so special in many ways, a very giving person. May God bless and keep you all.

Russ, Jerry and I want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. We'll remember her as we knew her...always ready for a party or an adventure....be it taking a houseboat down the Wolf River, trekking to Vegas to bowl, the many New Year's eve. parties. Dear Russ, Russ, KC and family, We are so sorry for your loss. Mary will forever live in our memories! So many Christmas parties, State Fair adventures, our families have done so much together. Russ & Kids....I am so glad we had a chance to see Mary and the rest of you at the Hurley reunion this summer. Our hearts are broken with her passing, but she is with God and in pain no more. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
