Mary Patricia Dess

1920 - 2016

Dess, Mary Patricia (Nee Gallagher ) Reunited with her husband of 60 years Richard Carl Dess and her daughter Ann Marie Dess Bernath on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the age of 96 years. She will always be remembered and loved by her family Mary B. Krygiel, John P., Richard P., William E. (Chris) Dess, Peggy (Pat) McGuire and Robert J. (Mary E.) Dess. She will be further remembered and cherished by her grandchildren David (Amber) Krygiel, Bridget (Steven) Adlen, Patrick (Hannah) Krygiel, Tim (Lisa) Dess, Jennifer (Dan) Popovich, John C. (Monica), Becky, Maggie and Ryan Dess, Emily (Todd) Esteban, Michael, Tom and Lisa Bernath, Leslie and Sam Dess and great-grandchildren Nathan, Gordana and Lucas Popovich, Calvin Krygiel, Mia and Clare Adlen and Lucy Mae Krygiel. She will also be remembered by her sister-in-law Georgia Dess, son-in-law Greg Bernath, cousin Beverly Seroogy and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation Friday, November 4th, 2016 at ST. JUDE THE APOSTLE CHURCH, 734 GLENVIEW AVE., WAUWATOSA from 4:00 PM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM followed immediately by a reception for family and friends. Private interment St. Adalbert's Cemetery. Mary was a resident of Wauwatosa and an active member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish for over 67 years. She loved playing bridge, cheering for the Milwaukee Braves and later the Brewers, Marquette University Basketball and the Green Bay Packers. She was a true sports enthusiast. Mary also loved working crossword puzzles, reading and preparing the family's favorite dishes. She along with her husband had a deep love not only for their family but dear friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hawthorne Terrace and St. Anne's and the members of the Salvatorian Campus for their mother's care. Memorials in her name to St. Jude the Apostle School Fund are deeply appreciated.
