Mary Otterson Obituary

Otterson, Mary Eva (Nee Zignego) Was born to Eternal Rest May 30, 2013, at the age of 88 years. She was the beloved wife of 66 years to Red, mother of Mary Francis (Andrew Joseph Selep), Gregory Alan (Mary Ann Murphy) and Mary Celine Fox (Paul Fabian); and dearest grandma to Thomas Alan, Sarah Elizabeth, and Daniel Joseph Otterson, Mary Elise and Mary Fiona Selep, Eva Irene and Finn Fabian Fox as well as many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Eva Zignego, her grandson Tommy and her siblings; John, Harry, Delores, Gust, Pete, Vernon, Babe, Frances Ann, and brothers in life, Don and Cal. After finishing high school, she moved to California where she spent the next 18 years and met the love of her life, Red. All who knew Mary will remember her conviction, spirit and generosity. She embodied her namesake, a mother to her own children and a mother to nieces, nephews, friends and strangers alike, opening her heart and home to the world. She gave her children and grandchildren a priceless education in life, instilling in them the responsibility to engage in education and charity. These things, she was known to say, will always be a part of who you are. They can never be taken away. She will always be a part of everyone who knew her. Visitation will be at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 995 Silver Lake Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066, Tuesday June 4, 2013 9:30-11:30AM, Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM.
