We are so deeply saddened by this unfortunate news. My husband and I really enjoyed working with Matt & Co at Stano Landscaping. He really knew his craft, and we will always remember him when we enjoy our garden. We will miss him, and know that he lives on in his work. He truly transformed our landscaping for the better and had such a talent for managing a project. Not to mention a keen sense of humor which we always enjoyed - many a laugh in the garden brought joy to our lives.
We send our condolences to the family. May God bless you, and your family in this time of sorrow.

My family's prayers and condolences to Judi and the Stano Family.Working at Stano Landscaping over a decade ago, Matt taught me many business lessons that I still use in my business today. This is especially true in regards to the challenges of being an employer to employees. It's not as easy as it looks, is very true ;). Thank you for your dedication to the green industry over the past 50 years and personally in allowing me to spread my wings in the green roof industry. You were a huge part of the foundation of my business development. You will be very much missed.Anthony Mayer, CEO

My sincere condolences to the Stano family. I was fortunate to meet Matt in the early 90's as I was new the landscape green industry. Matt was a great influence on me continuing to love being involved with the people and the green industry. His many stories he shared and the fun we had just hanging out at WLCA meetings or the many conventions we attended together, will always be remembered. Every one was always included in the conversations we had talking just about anything. Matt will be greatly missed.

Oh Judi, my heart just breaks for you and Dia and Dana and your grandchildren and other family members. A light has gone out in our world. Matt was one of a kind, and will be missed by the many people whose life he touched. How many times did Matt make me laugh so hard that I cried. So many times, I lost count. Besides his sense of humor, for which he had few peers, his generosity of spirit and willingness to share his expertise was amazing. Although he may have had to polish up his halo a few times, he was a very good man. And I, for one, was fortunate to count him and you as friends. I have and will continue to miss him. I cherish the memory of our good times. Cheryl.

Dear Uncle Matt,
You are now watching over us all, from Heaven. I love you. Not only were you a fantastic man, you were an amazing Uncle. I will cherish my memories for the rest of my life.
I recall them all from the BBQ's you had every Memorial Day, 4th, and Labor Day, while I was growing up. To time I spent at your Lake House.
I am blessed I saw you 3 weeks ago...that will help me heal better, knowing I just saw you recently.
Dana, Dia, and Aunt Judi, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
You are all in my prayers.

Matthew 5:44 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Console those of us who are grieving today, give us Your strength, Heavenly Father. Remind us of Your promises, comfort us when loneliness strikes and we feel lost. We pour out our hearts to You today Lord, for we are broken, shattered and weary. We need You, we are crying out in desperation in search of that peace that will soon emerge as we cling to You. Amen
