Mr. & Mrs. Thompson,
My son Adam was friends with your son at Luther. He was in Chemistry class with him and Biology class last year. Adam told me he saw Matt the day he died, and was his regular friendly self. Adam told me, "mom you know how they always say good things about people that die, but in this case he really was A GREAT GUY." My son said he can't imagine never seeing him again. Matt and Adam even had talked together about the girl that had died a week earlier from their Chemistry class. I just wanted to let you know how much he will be missed. I am very sorry about your loss, Mrs. Teri Ragheb

Megan and Thompson family,
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I never got the chance to meet Matthew, however Megan has shared many stories of your family with me as a co-worker. I admire the pictures she has in her office, those who are important to her and make her day easier. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Deepest Sympathy,

To the family of Matt,
I just want to give my heartfelt condolences to you all. Matt was one of my good friends at Luther, and I will miss seeing his smile and feeling his joy in all that he did. He was an amazing, talented guy, and Luther will never forget him. May God bless you all and hold you in His arms during this time of grief.

I am so sorry for your Tragic Loss. I worked with Matt out at Rainbow Camp, and I know that his untimely death has shaken the RDC family. I will miss seeing him out at camp this summer, hearing him play the piano during stolen moments, and who can forget the nearly 7 foot tall chicken that paid a visit to camp.
It was a gift to have met him, if only for too brief a period.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this impossibly difficult time.

I remember Matt walking down the halls of the high school and in my class--always with a smile on his face. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to know and teach him, even if only for a year of my life. I thank you for lending his intelligence, wit, humor, and vivaciousness to me during my time there.
My deepest sympathy and condolences extend to all of you in this difficult time.
With sympathy,

I didn't personally know Matthew, unfortunately, but he was in my choir this year at Luther and every time I saw him, I admired his smile. Everyone that knew him talked so well of him and I regret not getting to know him better. I'm praying for his family, friends, and girlfriend.
Matthew, rest in peace in God's arms.

There are no words to express the grief that has torn through our community. Matt was known and loved by all those whose lives he touched.
I believe if we close our eyes and listen, we will hear Matt singing joyful songs in heaven.
Our prayers are with you. May God be with you.

Dear all of the Thompson Family,
I was one of Matt's campers at RDC, so you probably don't know me. Matt was one of my all-time favorite counselors! He was so nice and so fun and funny! He will be very missed at Rainbow. I am very sorry for your loss.

Our deepest sympathy to all of the Thompson family. Matt first touched Liz's life through their involvement in "Oklahoma" together and the many "game nights" she attended at your home. Many CHS students have been blessed by knowing Matt; his memory will be carried in the hearts of them all.

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to your family. I never had the priviledge to meet Matt, but he and my son Adam became very close friends during their summer together as counselors at Rainbow Day Camp and their double dates with Caitlin and Steph. Matt was a great friend to Adam and he will miss him very much.
