Brian and I had so much fun with Mike, CJ and Benji at the YMCA Indian Guides when the kids were young. Along with Sattel and Polsky we were like the 4 musketeers. I was really shocked when we heard of Mike's passing. We still laugh at many of the memories we shared at Camp Minikani. Hard to believe my Brian is now 35. Man, how time flies. Wishing you all the very best.

Dear Jill and family,
It has been years since I've seen you, but my memories are very clear of you and Mike. Skinny dipping in the lake, Summerfest, high school! I can't begin to express how sorry I am for your loss, for the loss of all who knew and loved Mike. And to know him was to love him. Please know that you are in my thoughts and in my heart.

Michael was a wonderful man. He was willing to give me a chance when I first moved to Milwaukee by offering me employment with the Company. Every Friday at 4pm we all had an "end of the week" tradition that was looked forward to by all. He was loving, fun, caring, generous and full of wisdom. God bless you Jill, CJ, Benji and Josh - Michael was one of a kind and will be forever remembered.

Dear Jill,
My heart goes out to you & your family at this difficult time. Mike was such a special guy & always made our Stephens Alumnae Christmas parties an event we all looked forward to with his "corny" white elephant auctions which netted our club some serious money over the past years. I'll miss his smile & joyous personality. You, Josh, CJ & Benji are in my prayers. Anne Ruttger Neafie

Jill, CJ, Benji, and Josh...Every time I look at my son, I remember how it all started--in the middle of your living room after a dinner of wonderful, magical, Mike Goldberg "muffluff"...I really did feel as though I was on an episode of Candid Camera:-) Mike pounding on the bathroom door for Benji to get out because "Miss Zeimentz was in labor!"...Josh taking pictures with his camera and texting my students...Jill trying to calm me down and helping me make my phone calls...driving to my house and having Josh pack my bag for the hospital...From that moment on, your family and mine were forever bonded...I love you all, and I will forever feel blessed to have you in my life...I will never forget how Mike's hugs really made a person feel loved and how his smile could always make a dark day look much brighter...His legacy definitely carries on in the three fantastic young men he and you raised, Jill...My heart is with your family--today and always. Much love to you all, Patti Z.

Dearest Jill and the Goldberg family,
So saddened to hear the unexpected news of Mike's passing. He was one of the warmest, most loving guys and will be truly missed. Hold those kids tight and know he is watching over you. Sorry I missed the funeral and seeing you all in person. Mike and I were cousins through marriage...a branch of the tree we laughed about because we could never make sense of it. May you find peace in your heart and joy in his memory.

Jill & Sheree, I was shocked and tremendously sad to hear of Mike's passing. I knew him from our 53rd Street School days (such a long time ago!), and I saw him last about 5 or 6 years ago. He had such a great sense of humor. The world will be a little less bright without him in it. I hope you will be comforted by all the happy memories and good times you shared with him.

Dear Goldberg Family,
I want to extend my deepest sympathies to all of you on the loss of Michael. My heart goes out to each of you during this time.
I have many fond memories but the one that stands out most, is from our early childhood. We grew up across the street from one another and spent many a days playing in the neighborhood with our siblings. I will cherish my childhood memories of kick the can and the adorable red-headed boy freckles.
With a heavy heart,

I was shocked to hear of Michael's passing. I first met him when I worked at Jordy's during college. Michael of course was bigger than life and a blast to be with. He was bright, charming and funny. He was a gifted businessman but he was quick to remind you that his family was his greatest asset and joy. He was taken too soon, but I will keep his spirit alive in my work as well as my heart. Rest in peace my friend.
