Michael H. Goodman

1947 - 2016

Goodman, Michael H. Of South Milwaukee, died peacefully at the Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee on March 3rd, 2016 at the age of 68. His love for his country, community and family were beyond measure. Michael was born July 17, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI to Robert and Ida Goodman. In 1967, he joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from February 1968 through February 1969. While there, he received two Air Medals and The Army Commendation Medal for his meritorious service. He was an employee of General Motors for over 30 years. He enjoyed birding, volunteering, spending time with family and traveling the world with his loving partner of 25 years, Carol Ward. He will forever be remembered for his kind deeds, generosity and dedication to serving others. A loving father, a devoted grandfather and loyal friend; he is survived by his sons Jason and Andrew Goodman; daughters-in-law Vicki Goodman and Andrea Kijek; grandchildren Emily and Mitchell Kijek, Brittany Powers, Nathaniel and Zachary Goodman; and former wife Jacquelyn Howe. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ida. A social remembrance gathering will take place at the Wehr Nature Center, 9701 W. College Ave. Franklin, WI on Mar. 14th, 1:00PM-4:00PM.
