Michael Lundwall Obituary

Born to Eternal Life surrounded by the love of his family and friends in his home in Merton, on September 20, 2005, at the age of 50.

Mike loved fishing, hunting, traveling, and being with family and friends. He was President and Co-owner of Solomon Convention & Display, in Germantown, WI. He was a very talented artist, physically energetic, strong and enduring, and an invariably hard worker. He had a witty sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Best friend and loving husband of Jane (Cisewski). Proud father of Caleb and Corey. Beloved son of Glenn and the late Doris "Mor Mor" (Peterson) Lundwall, of Menomonee Falls, WI. Dearest brother of Deb Lundwall Wolf of Stevens Point, WI, Jeff (Colleen) Lundwall, and Kelly (Mike) Faust both of Germantown, WI. Cherished and special uncle of Andrew, Amber and Elysia Wolf, Billy Faust, Melissa, T.J. and Heather Miller, Jesse, Chelsea and Devin Lathrop. Loving son-in-law of Dorothy and the late Edward (Mike's fishing buddy) Cisewski. Dear brother-in-law also to Kathy (Terry) Miller, Lori (Jeff) Lathrop, Gail (Brian) Betzhold, and Mark Wolf. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

A Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 PM on Monday, September 26, 2005 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland. Private interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 2:30 PM until the time of the Mass.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Staff at Vitas for their compassionate care, especially Janine and Dawn, and the doctors and nursing staff of Froedtert Hospital who lovingly cared for Mike this last year.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Gilda's Club appreciated.

To Mike's family,

I was so sorry to hear about Mike. It's been years since I've seen him but I will always remember his smile and I can still hear him laugh. He was a great guy, who I got to know through my sister. He spent a bit of time at the "Patti house" and one of my fondest memories of him was the disgusting sandwiches he would whip up after an evening out... he would come home with my sister and he would raid our fridge....I could not believe some of the stuff he would put between 2 pieces of bread! He was in his glory eating and I was grossed out. He would always laugh at me! I am sure you all have great memories of him, and I hope your memories get you all through the tough times ahead, and that he can bring smiles to your faces too.

He will be missed, but I am sure he is lighting up heaven with his smile!

My deepest sympathy,

Paula Patti

Dear Lundwall Family and Denis,

I was very sad to hear about Mike, he will be truly missed. He had a great laugh and a smile that would light up a room, not to mention his wonderful sense of humor. Even though I have not seen Mike in years, it makes me sad to know he will not be there the next time I come home. I saw this poem in the paper years ago and I just thought i would pass it along to you:

He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has enjoyed..... the respect of intelligent men and the love of children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it... who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who always looked for the best in others and gave them the best he had....(Bessie Anderson Stanley)

I think we can all say that Mike was a very successful man!!! Young but successful!!! My heart and prayers go out to all of you. May GOD bless you all. I consider myself lucky to have known him and I will always remember him.
