Carol, Ray, and Sara. I spent a year teaching Mike in fifth grade. He is a great guy: pleasant, positive, and hard working, because of you, his family. My classroom was a better place because he was in it. I am a better person because he was in it. So, as you think back on all the memories, please know that many of us share those memories and are better people for having had Mike in our lives. Rest in peace, Mikey.

There isn't enough space here to fully describe the "Mikey Effect", but he had a profound impact on my life, and I'm sure the lives of everyone else he touched. His courage, determination, perseverance, and humility were such a positive influence on all who knew him. I'm a better person for having had him in my world. Carol and Ray, my thought are with you and your family. Thank you for sharing Mikey with me and the rest of the world!

I was one of Mike's teachers at Eisenhower Middle School; but Mike was the real teacher to all his fellow classmates and teachers. He was truly a role model and inspiration for all who knew him. Thank you for the life you lived!

From the moment we met in my office when you were 2 years old, to our last trip to see the Brewers this past summer, I knew I had met someone exceptional. We are in FL and just talked to Lynn's nephew in Franklin who told us of Mike's passing. We send our deepest sympathy. It was a privilege to have know Mike for so many years. To Mikey's family;
My wife and I pray for your peace, comfort and strength with the loss of Mikey. I met Mikey over 27 years ago when he and a bodybuilder were being taped for the local MDA telethon at a gym called TJs Fitness. I still have the tape and have looked at it many times as Mike was so inspirational.
Thank you Mike for being you and giving so much motivation and encouragement to others.

I didn't know Mikey personally, but we enjoyed watching him on the MD telethon. Hope he and my son can toss the ball around in heaven. My son had Duchenne and passed 12/2011. My prayers are with your family.

I never realized what kind of man your really were and I must say after the media interview I saw I was surprised how well known you are in the local community and beyond.
