To the Schwefel family, please accept our sympathy for your loss. It will seem strange to go into the restaurant and not see Mike there. God Bless you all.

I became Mikes neighbor in the beginning of July. Mike and his family welcomed me to my new condo on Fowler the night of the fireworks. Everytime I saw Mike, he would make me smile and laugh. It was was an extreme pleasure knowing you my friend!

I worked for the Schwefels a while back and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Mike always made every day fun, with lots of jokes and razzing - everyone always loved to be around him. I am truly sorry for your loss and I only wish I could've made it back sooner to see him.

Meeting Mike, and through him, his entire family has truly been a gift. Some of my best memories the last few years include Mike; his surprise 50th birthday at the restaurant, the Vegas trip for the Badger game/LOVE concert, and just boating and talking. I miss you, “Little Brother.” God Bless You.

It was my pleasure to have known Mike. Each time I have a cocktail at Schwefel's I shall tip my glass to my departed friend.
