Dear Aunt Mary and Family:
We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Mike's passing. He was such a memorable character to me and I loved the twinkle in his eye whenever he told a joke. It was remarkable how much he reminded me of my Grandpa Joe (his brother) in his mannerisms, humor, and work ethic. The best wisdom he ever gave me was that the most important thing in life was to marry well, for all one's happiness, health, and success depends on being happy in marriage. I think he did marry quite well and was a content man! God bless you all. :)
Thus says the LORD, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls." [Jer 6:16]

Dear Mary and Family,
How very sorry we were to hear about Mike. We both worked with Mike and we will miss his jokes and his joyful look on life.
We are so sorry we won't be able to come to his funeral, but we won't be back in Wisconsin until May 2nd.
Again, our heartfelt sympathy.

I worked in the Greenfield Schools and knew Mike for many years. He was a great teacher and a good friend. I will miss him!
