To Mikes family and extended family,
Mike was one of the warmest people I knew. His compassion and understanding for those different than he was always first. Mike always made me laugh and giggle too! He had the best contagious laugh! Mike loved his work. The citizens of Milwaukee that he helped will always be grateful. I will always be grateful for his friendship and tenderness. Mike you will be very deeply missed. Because of your love of flowers and beauty, here is one of my favorites: "And 'tis my faith that every flower enjoys the air it breathes" William Wordsworth
Love to you my dear sweet friend. Karin

My condolences to Mike's family for your loss. I worked with Mike when he was in DNS. I always thought of him as a genuine and caring person. I will remember his warm personality and his contagious laugh. I hope you find comfort in your happy memories of him and in knowing that he is in a better place now. Lynne Steffen

My sympathy to Mike's family. I got to know Mike while working in DCD. He was always there for me in good times and bad. He was a great supervisor and friend. I will always remember his laughter and the fishing stories from his friend Karin. He will be deeply missed. Denise Mueller

My thoughts go out to Mike's family during this difficult time. I moved in next to Mike last summer and experienced a great sense of community, largely because of him. My house had to be gutted prior to moving in, and Mike actually offered to take me in while construction continued. He always offered words of encouragement, advice on gardening, and was a great listener when I needed it.
