Sandy and Stuart & Family: I am so sorry for the loss of the one-in-a-million Mildred! We can all only aspire to be the type of person she was: loving, giving, sharing, and accepting. My condolences... it never matters how old or how long we, as children, expect these things. It always hurts anew. Peace and many blessings to you.

Stuart, Sandy, and the Hoffman family :

We share your grief at Mildred's passing, but we also share some of the memories of her and her graceful spirit of caring for others.

I especially remember our participation in the family musicales with the Sussmans and the Libmans, and Mildred's encouragement of our creative talents.

Memories of her strength and beauty will endure longer than the sadness over her loss.

Dear Stuart,

I still remember when your dad passed and your child was born.

It is truly amazing how your mother went on with her life for all those years, maybe not with her husband, but with all the other loved ones around her.

It is a true testament of your entire family.

We were so sad to hear of Mildred's passing. Marsha knew Mildred, worked with and visited with her at many a volunteer event and had some wonderful conversations with her. She was warm, intelligent, compassionate and imbued with a deep understanding of the human condition--a true Eishet Chayil. Our condolences to the whole Hoffman family. May her memory always be for a blessing--and surely, you will all carry many wonderful memories of her in your hearts.

Dear Sandy, Stuart and Family,
I met Mildred, when my Mother, Beatrice DeVorkin moved into the apartment across the hall. My Mother and Mildred became fast friends. In my regular visits to Milwaukee, we'd always include a lunch and/or dinner date so we could catch up. Mildred was at my Mother's side when she awakened from surgery for her lung cancer, giving loving attention and giving her the sad news. When I spoke to Mildred a few months ago, she sounded frail, but greeted me with, "Mona...sweetheart!" My Mom missed dear Mildred when she moved here to NY with my husband and I, but received calls and cards from Mildred. Mildred was kind, loving and big hearted and we will miss her.
I offer my sincere condolences to all of you, for such a wonderful, gracious, loving presence on earth.

Dear Sandy and Stuart,

Your dear mother, Mildred Hoffman, had such exceptional energy/ a woman whose heart
was visably open to the moment/
to moments of need/ moments of service/
lifetime of love. Tiny only in size, she could be seen above the crowd. Her presence in the community
will be sorely missed.

May her spirit and memories offer you consolation at this time and on through all times.
