Mildred B. Kraft

1928 - 2016

Kraft, Mildred B. Age 88, Wittenberg, died on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of Asera Care Hospice. She was born on June 24, 1928 in Tigerton, the daughter of the late Glen and Bertha (Erickson) Klund. On October 18, 1947, Mildred was united in marriage to Roy Kraft at Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Morris. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2010. Mildred worked as a nurses aid at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee and also worked in the cafeteria for the Milwaukee Public School District for many years. Roy and Mildred moved north in 1984. Mildred was known as an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed golfing, painting, rosemaling and her card clubs. Mildred was proud of her Norwegian heritage and traveled to Norway several times. Survivors include two children; Lawrence (Mary) Kraft, Thiensville and Sharon (Steve Kucharski) Kraft, Milwaukee; three grandchildren, Jennifer Gindt, David (Carly) Kraft and Catherine Kraft ; four great-grandchildren, Isla and Harper Kraft and Lauren and Daphne Zupke and three siblings, Harold Klund, Gresham, Betty Ohlemiller, Burnett, WI and Alton Klund, Milwaukee. Mildred was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda; her parents; husband; and one brother, Arnold. The funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Morris. Rev. John Hielsberg will officiate. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery.
