My Uncle Nick and his 4 brothers were my role models as I grew up. They were forthright, honest, hard working, and seemed to know how to enjoy life. I wanted to be like them in every way. Nick was always encouraging, and spoke to me like I was a man, despite my age. I eagerly looked forward to interesting conversation with him at family functions. For a couple of years as a teen I worked for him at his restaurant. It was a great experience as I witnessed first hand how a proud, confident and capable man carried himself through life's challenges. I still cannot beleive he has left this sphere, and I'll miss him tremendously.

It was always up lifting to be around Nick. He had a quick smile a word of encouragement for everyone on all occasions. We looked forward to an annual singles league match for many years. Nick always prevailed, but they were always fun matches. He was an honorable man and will be missed by many.
