Norbert M. Hodkiewicz

Ottawa - Of Town of Ottawa, Wisconsin. Passed away surrounded by close family on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 at the age of 78.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cindy (nee Priefer) Hodkiewicz, his two children, Joe (Monica) Hodkiewicz and Jolie (David) Nottelson and his grandchildren, Terisa Schmidt, Katrina Schmidt, Sophie, Kieran, and Samantha Hodkiewicz, along with his great-grandchildren Anna and Claire Dudzek. Cherished brother of Ronald, MaryAnn (Bill) Lydon, Ralph (Gail), Lenny (Cathie), Joanie Fischer, Lorie (Dan) Hoefs, and Rob (Barb). Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Norbert was a retiree of Allen Bradley after 47 years of service.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather "PAZZ", brother and an incredibly hard worker. His words were kind and his storytelling skills immaculate. He enjoyed the little things in life, like watching the birds on a Monday morning, taking his pugs for a walk and of course the Sunday night Packers game. When he was still able, he was a very avid skier who enjoyed going up to Lutsen, Minnesota, as he loved eating the fish there and watching the waves from the beautiful Lake Superior.

Norbert was a man who was connected to the earth, taking care of the flowers and trees, making sure the bird feeder was always full and watching nature silently through his binoculars. He was a very giving person, frequently donating to the Southwest Indian Foundation along with various other organizations. He also had a special admiration for loons, which he enjoyed listening to their calls at Crystal Lake in Vilas County. Private family services will be held.
