George and everyone: We are very sorry, and we know the time had arrived for your mom to 'be born to eternal life' as it says in her obituary. That is a beautiful thought. For a brief but formative period in my life, I felt welcomed in your home and felt watched over by Pat like only a mother could do. We made it through that period safely, and I know she played a role in my own teenage survival. I will always feel that gratitude, and I hope my son will have someone like her in his life one day.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. May you all find comfort in the many good memories that you all had the opportunity to share. We will not be able to attend the service in person due to the distance but will be thinking about you all. God bless.
