Patrick Chamberlain Obituary

Chamberlain, Patrick L. Entered Eternal Life on March 12, 2015 at the age of 25. Resident of Shorewood. Beloved son of Chet and Colleen. Loving big brother of John, Clare and Thomas. Cherished grandson of Thomas Hayes and Florence Waterston and the late Chester and Edith Chamberlain. Further survived by many treasured aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Patrick took comfort in solitude yet he was a wonderful friend to many. He truly was a lovable person, an inquisitive student, an accomplished musician and a successful scientist. Most of all Patrick had a caring heart and a gentle soul. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held at the Feerick Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 17, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Robert Catholic Church in Shorewood on Wednesday, March 18 at 11:00 AM. Memorials in Patrick's name may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society, 4500 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53208. Weep not for me, for I am at peace.

Dearest Colleen, Chet & Your Beautiful Family,

As I was looking to reconnect just now, I learned of the great & untimely loss of your dear son, Patrick.

I can't imagine in all this world how painful his loss must be. You have always amazed me by your acts of courage & strength whenever you & your family have gone through hard times.

It seems unthinkable to experience the one thing parents fear most - the ultimate hardship & sorrow a family could ever experience. As life doles out its often cruel challenges, I can't help to cry out to the heavens "Why?".

Many times throughout the years I would think of you & what awesome parents you are. Because of you, your dear children are given only the best that parenting has to offer. Your energies & hard work is truly amazing. As I write this, I have come to realize where all your bountiful energy & never-ending family wonderment comes from. What seems so difficult to understand, suddenly becomes very simple. It's obvious. It's pure Love.

Colleen - I sit here now recalling our sisterly conversation near the tunnel of Hubbard Park Lodge so many years ago. I send wishes to you of that same comfort & Love we shared on that day and the many, many other days for the past 43 years. My thoughts & prayers are with you, always. A rosary Novena will be said in for Angel Patrick's Spirit in his new realm & for all & every intention of your family.

May Patrick Chamberlain rest in Peace. May the Perpetual Light shine upon him, his family, friends, loved ones & those whose lives he touches, Amen.

With much heartfelt sorrow, bewilderment & Love, Liz

Chamberlains,
Although I had not spent time with pat in several years it was always a nice treat getting a chance to see him in passing in Madison after graduating high school.
My heart goes out to you and your extended family. I will always remember pat and his uncanny ability to cheer up others; diffusing any sort of awkward situation with a witty joke and a smile that would light up the whole room.
I can only hope that you can find comfort in knowing although his life was short, he was loved by many.
pat: may the force be with you; always, to infinity and beyond

Pat,

I'll never forget the incredible memories we made and shared. We became so close after traveling abroad. Those experiences have shaped my life to this very day. From sneaking into forbidden areas of medieval castles, to our adventure at the Palace Versailles...the list goes on! You stood by me through some of my darkest moments and for that I will never forget you. I will always admire and look up to your uncanny ability to mediate any disagreement with such a cool and reasonable outlook.

Rest on brother.

Dear Chamberlain Family :

We are deeply saddened by your loss. Gina knew Pat growing up and they would always compete in Math class at Lake Bluff. They would also see each other on campus at UW. Krissy was in Pat's younger brother's grade and it was always great to see him! We are all keeping you in our prayers during this time. Pat was a wonderful young man and he will be greatly missed.

When they were all still elementary school age I was waiting across the street from your house and saw a memorable funny scene. Patrick and Clare were on the walk by the front door each doing their own thing. Suddenly, he put her in a "headlock", gave her a noogie, let her go and went back to what he was doing. She ran inside to tell on him. It was perfectly played sibling childhood scene.

Dear Family,
I am the mom of Liz Gelhar, who was a classmate of Pat's. She told me of his passing during one of our "catch-up calls." She's lived in New York since high school. We're still grieving the loss of Liz's dad last November at 61. I wanted you to know we are thinking of you during this time of unthinkable loss and sending you strength, love and great fortitude for the future.

Although there are no words we can offer to lessen your tremendous loss, we fondly remember Patrick and the many fun times we spent when our children were young. I will remember his radiant smile brightening those around him and the youthful energy he had.

Dear chamberlain family,
Patrick was a great guy, only 2 weeks ago we were having some beers at the three lions pub. We were fellow shorewood rock musicians. He was very laid back, and great to chill with. We would hang out at Manske's packer parties, play games. Ive known him for about 15 years.
I can't believe he is gone.
Rest in peace, pat chamberlain.

Dear Colleen, Chet, and family,
My deepest sympathy. My heart aches for you as you go through this very difficult time. I've been looking at photos of Pat and my son, Maurice, at our house all dressed up for their high school Prom, and also a great soccer team picture. Have only good memories of a very nice young man and a very nice family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

dear chet and colleen,
the manske home grieves with you...patrick was such a dear friend to brennon and erica.....he loved gabby ( our cat) and likewise gabby loved him. he was always welcome in our home, and packer games were never quite the same when he wasn't present. he was my nemesis when it came to 'cards against humanity' as he was always neck and neck with me when this big wonderful group of 'kids' played together. he truly, truly, truly will be missed. our hearts ache with you.

To Patrick's family,
I was a co-worker of Patrick's at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital. I worked in another department within the lab, so did not know him very well...but enough to tell you that he will surely be missed. Patrick reminded me a lot of my son...same body build, thick head of reddish-brown hair, and rather quiet. My prayers are with you at this most sorrowful time.

Mr. and Mrs. Chamberlain,

I worked with Patrick at CSM lab in Milwaukee for the last couple of years and although he and I were not very close, I always enjoyed talking with him and he always had a kind greeting.
We lost our 27 year-old son less than two years ago. The pain lessens with time but the hole left in our hearts never fills.
Hopefully, you will find peace at some time.
