Tripp, Perian Ruth (Nee Grahovac ) Age 51, died following a long illness on August 27, 2014, in Schaumberg, Illinois. She was born on December 8, 1962 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Paul and Dolores Mae (Wilmot) Grahovac. Following her 1981 graduation from Wauwatosa West High School, she went on to the University of Wisconsin where in 1986 she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts. While Perian enjoyed bike riding, music, animals, and helping special needs children, she was most passionate about her two children, Abby Tripp and Maxx Tripp. However, seemingly trapped in the mystery of illness, her ability to be fully present with those she loved was compromised. In the midst of her plight, Perian was forever grateful and comforted knowing the wellbeing of Abby and Maxx were in the loving care of their father, Steve Tripp. Perian is survived by her father, Paul Grahovac; two children, Abby Tripp and Maxx Tripp; sister, Julie (Don) Maki; brothers, Jack Grahovac and Paul Grahovac; niece, Katie Maki; and nephew, Jeff Maki. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Mae Wilmot; and paternal grandparents, Paul and Katherine Grahovac. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local homeless shelter. Complete funeral services will he held Wed. at Good Hope Cemetery Chapel 4101 S. 43rd St. from 10:30 AM until time of service at 11 AM.

Perian and I worked together for 10 years and she was my "work wife" and good friend. We laughed frequently, had many inside jokes with each other, took lunches together often, rode to work together and always traded to get each other's names in the Christmas grab bag. The funniest memory I have is that, after a frustrating morning at work, we rolled down a grassy hill on our lunch hour, laughing hysterically the whole way down..that's the kind of friend Perian was...she could make you laugh when you least expected it and I'm smiling as I type this. I will miss you!

Been since Tosa West days since I've seen Perian but those wonderful days are often in my thoughts. She was dear to me. Sleep overs, swimming, "painting the rock", her bunny rabbit, tobogganing. The illness is cunning, baffling & powerful. So sorry to hear she lost the battle. We were good friends in high school & lost touch over the years. We had recently reconnected.
