Peter Boyajian Obituary

Boyajian, Peter Age 87. Passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. He had lived in The Villages, FL since 1998, moving there from Greendale, WI. Peter worked as an Art Teacher at Pulaski High School in Milwaukee for 34 years, the Milwaukee Art Center and Alverno College; he also owned a gallery and was a prolific artist. He was a member of Wisconsin Watercolor Society and the Milwaukee Men's Sketch Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aram and Arshalous Boyajian and his brother, Kaiser Boyajian. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Judy Boyajian; children, James Engman (Beth), Chris Boyajian (Connie), Karen Jaeger (John III); stepsons, David Craine (Cathy), Scott Craine (Jennifer); twelve grandchildren, Erin, Jon, Jennifer, John IV, Peter, Carrie, Shawn, Jeffrey, Brian, Matthew, Samuel, Alyssa; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Boyajian and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Max A. Sass & Sons South Shore Chapel on Wednesday, July 22 from 9 - 11AM.

Peter Boyajian was one of the teachers that had influence in my life. Although I did not continue you in any artistic field he taught me the keys to being a good person. I had the pleasure of knowing him for my 4 years of high school. He was often in my mind when I spoke of my high school experience.

To the Boyajian Family,
Pete was a good fried and colleague of my Father's at Pulaski HS. His humor and friendship has remained a favorite memory of mine and my sisters. We always knew Dad would have company "in the boiler room" when he retreated to take a break. Peter was a great mentor to me when I returned to MATA. I will always remember his smile.

Not knowing exactly what to expect student teaching at Pulaski under Peter, I soon learned how fortunate I was. His students were well trained. I remember one day they were getting a little restless and when Peter walked through the classroom he admonished them to listen to me. And they did! After graduating I got a teaching job in Waukesha. Our paths crossed often when I joined MATA and Peter and I were on the Board together. It was great staying connected to this fun-loving, warm person who was one heck of a talented artist!

The Boyajian Family,
I had Mr. Boyajian as an art teacher at Pulaski and in summer school. He was my favorite teacher. He will be missed dearly!! He was loved by many and he has touched so many lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you.. . Mr Boyajian I know you are sharing your talent even in Heaven. May you RIP

I was fortunate to teach with Peter for four years at Pulaski H.S. He was a warm, caring, and talented man who, as department chair, looked out for his art teachers' well-being and concerns. I also enjoyed his humorous"valentine fantasies" that he drew and shared with MATA members at our February drawing and social event.

Peter was my art teacher at Pulaski High. His watercolor talent inspired me to try the medium that has become one of my favorites! I went on to teach art in MPS for 35 years and an occasional meeting with him was always an inspiration and a joy! I know he is opening a galley in heaven already.. God's Speed Mr. B...

As a student of his, I loved him! He was an excellent teacher at Kozy Jr. High for me, then to my surprise when I got over to Pulaski there was my Favorite Art teacher. He was the Best, May he rest in peace. A beloved student, Sharon Sobczak.
