Renate Bojic Obituary

Bojic, Renate (Nee Kalk) Passed away peacefully on October 6, 2009, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Marko Bojic, devoted mother to Christine (Bill) O'Meally and Caroline (Brent Carbone) Cremia, and adoring grandmother of Jessica Reese and Tyler Mark Carbone. Survived by friends and relatives across Europe, Canada and the United States. Born in Estonia, Renate escaped to Germany during the Soviet occupation of 1944. After the war, she met her husband Marko, who had also left his native Slovenia rather than live under Communist rule, and they were married at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Milwaukee on November 22, 1952. A U.S. citizen since 1956, she was a patriotic American from the moment she arrived in the U.S. in 1950. Renate was an enthusiastic fan of her adopted city of Milwaukee, where she lived for 57 years before moving to Cape Coral, FL, to be close to her beloved grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Cape Coral, 2629 Del Prado Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33904, on November 13, 2009.

Dear Family of aunt Renate,

Speaking on behalf of Her's Family in Estonia I would like to say that we all are deeply sorry and will keep Her in our minds and hearts as a very kind and sweet person. Though far away, You're still our Family and our thoughts go with You during Memorial service.

Dear Mama -

All I ever wanted was to make you happy, and I hope I did that in some small way. I know you're probably having a good time up there with Auntie Lena, with Uncles Kalju and Lembit and with Kutti and Pussycat and Sassy and Spunky.

Love,
Christine

Dear Family of Renate Bojic,

Your mother was my AVON Lady and so much more. I know she loved her husband and daughters deeply and spoke fondly about you often. I will surely miss her, especially her twinkling eyes and smiles. My deepest sympathy to you. Sincerely, Kay Kinsella, Milwaukee, WI.

Dear Momma, I loved you very much and I am so glad that you got to be here in Florida and get to know Tyler and play with Jessica. I just wish it would have gone on longer. I love you and know that you are probably doing very well....feeding all your friends in heaven! Love, Caroline
