Thomas Allen Ruggles, 64, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his home on March 17th, 2026.

Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, a reflection of his strength, discipline, and deep sense of duty.

He was known as a man of few words, with a kind heart, quiet strength, and a memorable sense of humor. Tom had a unique way of bringing smiles to those around him with his well-timed jokes. He was someone others could always count on and lived his life with integrity and dedication to his family.

Most of all, Tom was deeply devoted to his wife, Susie, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Their relationship was built on love, commitment, and unwavering partnership.

Tom enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, and playing card games. His greatest joy in being surrounded by his loved ones, quietly taking in those moments and appreciating the people he cherished most.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susie; his son, Michael (Kayla) Ruggles; his daughter, Melissa Ruggles (Roman Sinopoli); his beloved grandchildren, Lenora and Nathan Ruggles; and his brother, Harold (Mary) Powell. Sister-in-Law Connie (Steve) Vollmann.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Georgianna Bowen, and his mother, Arionnah Powell.

Please join us to celebrate Tom's life at CHURCH AND CHAPEL, 1875 N Calhoun Rd in Brookfield on Monday, March 23rd from 4pm-6pm with a time of sharing at 6pm. In honor of Tom and his love of Wisconsin sports, please wear Badger, Bucks, Brewers, or Packers attire.
