The family wishes to extend their appreciation for all the wonderful professional staff at the VA for their compassionate care Renee received over the years.

Special thanks to all of Renee's coworkers at SSA (especially Trevor and Alonzo) for all their support and special friendship over the years.

Renee proudly served in the US Navy where she acquired numerous skills, which she utilized during her whole life until her death. From a young age and throughout her life, Renee had to overcome many trials and tribulations which she did with grace, strength and positivity, overcoming many obstacles during her life. Renee was a talented artist, exceptional writer in poetry and stories. She was an avid reader, movie guru, loved quilting and enjoyed many hobbies; most of all, her unwavering devotion of supporting veterans and her faith in God.

She will be missed by many family and friends. Rest in peace little sister - until we meet again.

I retired last year from the VA Hospital and just learned of Renees' passing. I knew Renee for many years. I admired her strength and determination despite all the hardships she faced in her life. She expressed many times how she felt comfortable coming to see us and she felt cared for and respected. She had a great love for her daughter, sister and brother in law.
