I was sorry to hear of Dick´s passing. I worked as a legal assistant with him in the Jefferson County District Attorneys Office for several years. He was a deep thinker and very intelligent. He loved the research required of his position. I enjoyed working with him. He was a generous and kind person.

I worked with Dick during his long career at Justice. He was an Assistant Attorney General, Acting District Attorney of Dodge County and a judicial finalist in Jefferson County.
Despite have a heavy case load, Dick volunteered to handle oral arguments for an elderly attorney who could no longer travel. Indeed, the night before he retired, Dick worked into the wee hours finishing a brief and organizing his files.
A group of us at Justice would commiserate at happy hour (Dick only had a diet Coke), over lunch (Dick always tried to pick up the tab) and even at Brewer games (Dick got a really bad sunburn).
Dick had no interest in fashion or technology but loved movies and enjoyed critiquing them. He was also a kind, compassionate and generous man, one of a kind. I will always treasure our conversations, friendship and memories.
Dick, I will never forget you.
