Rick Steger Obituary

Steger, Rick James Born to Eternal Life on Friday, October 17, 2014, at the age of 56. Cherished son of Mary Steger. Beloved brother and best friend of Bill Steger. Forever soulmate of Nancy Chappie. Beloved friend of Mr. Steve Nite. Rick will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many dear friends. Rick was the seafood manager at the Delafield Sentry for over twenty years. Other love's of Ricks life included golf, softball, bowling, darts, and time spent vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. A celebration of life amongst family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 23, from 4PM-7PM at the Okauchee American Legion Post, N50 W34750 Wisconsin Ave., Okauchee. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, from 9AM-10:45AM with a memorial mass at 11AM at ST. CATHERINES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 W. Center St., Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family or the American Diabetes Association are appreciated. "Hasta Luagos"

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rick's death today.
My sympathy to Bill and Mary...I am so sorry I did not find out in time to attend his memorial service. May you find comfort in the memories of Rick's humor and ever present smile.

Bill... my deepest sympathy. Martha & I just found out. We so would have been there to celebrate Rick's life with all who knew and loved him. Such great memories we have growing up. Life is indeed too short.

I am so sorry to hear of Rick's unexpected passing.He has left a wonderful legacy and will continue to live in our hearts and minds. Life is not over for Rick but changed.He is just around the corner, in the sea and sand, in the sun rising and setting. My thoughts and prayers to his family and to Nancy, the light in all of our lives.
