Robert Abrams Obituary

Of Glendale. Passed away January 23, 2005 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Mandel) Abrams. Cherished father of Dr. Matthew Evan (Dafna) of Scottsdale, AZ and Andrew Bennett (fiance of Kimberly Laufman) Abrams. Loving grandfather of Adam Ethan, Ariel Judith and Eric Jordan Abrams and Lauren Laufman. Fond brother of Dr. Julian E. (Marion) Abrams and brother-in-law of Richard (Emi) Mandel and Trudy (the late Lawrence) Mandel. Also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. After graduating from the Illinois College of Podiatry, Dr. Abrams served the Milwaukee area as a doctor and surgeon of Podiatric medicine for over 45 years until retirement at the age of 75. During his career, he served as a board member and Chief of Podiatry at Northwest General Hospital and was on staff at Sinai Samaritan and Lakeview Hospital. He was a former member of The American College of Foot Surgeons and The WI State Podiatric Society. Before serving his community he served his country in the Marines, the Navy and the Army. The family wishes to express a very special thank you to the Dove Health Care Center D Wing staff and ASERA Hospice Care for their loving and compassionate care. If desired, memorials to Dove Health Care Center or ASERA Hospice Care appreciated.

Funeral Service Wednesday, January 26 at 1:00PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial to follow at Md. Zion Cemetery 14510 W. North Ave., Brookfield.
