Robert Chernetski Obituary

Chernetski, Robert W. Age 89, of Menominee, MI was born to eternal life on Friday, November 23, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. He was born March 19, 1923 in Menominee to the late John and Sophia (Zdrojewski) Chernetski and attended Menominee High School. Robert proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Eaton during WWII as an Electrician Mate. After his military service, Bob worked as a Union Electrician in the Milwaukee area. He returned to Menominee fifteen years ago. He was a member of Resurrection Parish, the South Milwaukee American Legion Post #27 and the Menominee VFW Post 1887. He enjoyed 3D photography, hunting, bird watching and giving rides in his Model T Ford. Bob is survived by his loving family, two daughters Janice Brannan of South Milwaukee and Carol (Bill) Generotzky of Racine; son Gary Chernetski of Menominee and their mother May Chernetski of South Milwaukee; three grandchildren: Erin (Tom) Mirakis, Heather Brannan and Jenna Brannan; two great grandchildren Sierra and Delilah; former son-in-law William Brannan; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant son David, four brothers, four sisters, and many dear friends. Visitation will be held at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home-Menominee on Thursday November 29 from 4PM to 7PM with Parish Prayers at 6PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Resurrection Parish on Friday at11 am with Reverend Mark McQuesten officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Menominee. If desired, donations may be sent to Food For The Poor, Inc.
