I first met 'Price and Alice' back in 1987 after moving from Iowa where I had found the SCA. Strange how it took me a while to meet Bob and Barb, but that is how life can be in the SCA. I have such wonderful memories of living in Caer Anterth, and meeting these fine, gracious people.
Thinking back it strikes me that I always heard the phrase 'Price and Alice'. As if Bob and Barb were one person, not two. I felt that they were inseparable, and hoped that I could live my life as they were living theirs.
I remember my first opportunity to sip wine in a hot tub was at their house, and have a picture somewhere from that time where there are about a dozen people in the tub. I remember Price teaching me how to appreciate good wine, and avoid bad wine. I remember combat with Price, how honorable a fighter he was, and hoping that I would be in as good of shape when I hit his age.
My heart and prayers go out to Barb and to everyone who feels the loss of such a good man, mentor and friend.

I first met "prof. Kearns" when I took his economics class over 20 years ago. Althought my aptitude for econ challenged me (and Bob & I had several discussions later about it),I joined the SCA while at Carroll and got to know "Price" as a friend. I miss those late Friday night parties at their home after a Moot or event. I made many cherished friendships during my years in Waukesha. Thanks for being a stepping stone in my life Price.
