May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

The Paul (Staudacher) Bartell family extends its sympathy to the Strupp family for the loss of Bob. Our Dad, Paul, was a friend of Bob and of course our Uncle Leo and Bob were lifelong friends and cardplaying buddies back to the St. Anne days. Bob's kindness and support through Leo's illness and passing were so greatly appreciated by our entire family.

Most memorable of all, however, was the eulogy that Bob gave at Leo's funeral. It was filled with the warmth and humor that were Bob. Bob actually got a round of applause, something I had never before seen for a eulogy.

Here's hoping your sorrow is in time replaced with memories of Bob's warmth and humor so evident that day.

My sympathy to the Strupp Family. My parents, Larry and Marie Bartlein, thoroughly enjoyed playing Sheepshead with "the group." My father was especially thrilled to be mentioned in Bob's Sheepshead book! I'm sure my parents welcomed Bob to the heavenly sheepshead table with open arms.

My condolences to the Strupp family. As a Sheepshead fan for many years, Bob's book has been a staple in the various clubs I have been a member of; I met my wife as a member of a Sheepshead club. We still play monthly with a fun group for over 15 years now. I worked with Bob Jr. (and brother John?) at the National/A&P Food Store on 76th St. in Milwaukee. We have lost a local celebrity, so again, my condolences.

My Condolences to the Strupp Family:
My name is Patty Bonkowski Krick. Our family lived in one of the apartments over the Strupp home the first 12 years of my life. It was a GOOD time. I remember Bob as a sort of older brother and BIG tease. Howie baked our wedding cake (50 plus years ago) and Bob decorated it. It was absolutely beautiful. I know he will be missed by so many people. He was so full of life. May God's Comforting Spirit be with you all at this time and in the days ahead.

We have wonderful memories of Bob from GermanFest Sheepshead. Bob and his brother Howie got the Sheepshead Tournament set up at GermanFest around 1984 and Tom and I took it over about six years later. What fun we had! Our sympathy to the Strupp family. We look forward to meeting Bob (and his buddies) in heaven for lots of five-handed Sheepshead.

I will always remember the smile on his face whenever I saw him at Christmas, or Laugh-Fun Band or B.O.S.S. Bros gigs. When I try to teach my friends how to play Sheepshead I still tell them about his hilarious book. My prayers and sympathy are with your whole family.

Dear Carol,
I am so sad to hear about Bob's passing. We had so many fun evenings working together in the NICU at St. Joes and exchanging stories about each others family. I have Bob's book on Sheepshead which is my bible up in Shawano where we have a sheepshead group. Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Strupp and family,
I'm sure that Bob is looking down at all of you from heaven and smiling while he is playing Sheapshead with my uncle Leo (Staudacher). Bob was a great man and an oustanding person to have as a friend. I know that my uncle cherished his friendship with Bob.
