Not sure what to say?

As Roger's big Sis Dolores, I can honestly say, that not once did Roger ever say or do anything mean to me. We got along great. He always ended our conversations on the phone, "I love you." God bless my precious brother. I miss you.

I have many fond memories of my dad. I really enjoyed our visits to Minnesota. He was a family man. He enjoyed visiting with all of his relatives. He always loved talking with or seeing his brothers and sisters. He also enjoyed visiting with old and new friends. He was such a personable guy. He taught me many values about life in general. Money wasn't everything but he believed in working hard for what you got. He didn't care if you had a little cottage or a mansion, he always went to see someone to see that person, not what they had. After my mom died, my family got to be very close. We relied on each other for everything. We always had such a good time with dad. Our favorite pasttimes were going out to eat and playing canasta. I am going to miss him terribly and I know our families will too! He touched alot of lives. We were blessed to have him in our lives!

I enjoyed my visits to Milwaukee so much. Roger always had a way to make you feel special and glad you came for a visit. He really appreciated people coming to see him. He loved to tease and enjoyed bantering back and forth about almost anything! I loved to play canasta with him and just sit and talk with him. His life touched a lot of people and he will be missed by many.

My brother and I were very close. After our father died we helped our mother farm the land at home. Roger was a hard worker and he could out-work me, but he didn't like farming, so when I was drafted he said he would enlist and go in my place. He served three years and was extended another year. I will miss him terribly.

I have known roger's family for almost 40 years, starting when my dad rented from them. I got to know all of them very well. He always knew how to make a person laugh and always had that twinkle in his eye.Roger was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.

I have many fond memories of Roger and his family visiting our family in Bloomington. He was always very proud of all his children.

I especially loved to hear Rogers stories of growing up on the farm. Sometimes he would tell childhood stories about his sister Dolores, my mom, with a twinkle in his eye. He loved to tease. He still teased my mom, and he loved it when mom would tease him back. This was his wonderful way of showing and sharing love.

He will be greatly missed.

I will be praying that God will fill the open chasm of Roger's passing with His healing and loving presence.

My sympathy to Mr. Nelson's family and friends.

I met him only a couple times -- enjoyed him at the 2-3 Nelson cousin reunions I attended! But I've heard about him every now and again from my mom, who is his "twin" cousin, Arlyss.

I know he is missed already.

To my dear relatives--

Will be thinking about you all in these sad days. I am so sad to hear about Uncle Roger's passing. He was a very kind uncle to us and have good memories about him. My mom was very close to him and will miss him greatly. God bless you all. Love, Cousin Joy.
