Ronald Groth Obituary

64. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2004 at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton (1621 2nd Ave, Grafton WI 53024) for Ron Groth, who lost his valiant battle with cancer on Friday, December 10, 2004 at the age of 64. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., with the service immediately following. Pastor Franz Rigert will officiate the service.

Ron was born in Milwaukee on July 17, 1940 to the late Roland and Lydia (Bosch) Groth and raised in Saukville. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marjorie who battled along side him for 14 months; children Pamela Cada (Kevin), Stefanie Meyers and Roger Groth (Ann); grandchildren Jarred Cada, Bryce, Makenzie, and Logan Meyers, Cody and Brady Groth; brother Richard Groth (Ruth); and many special and wonderful relatives and friends.

Ron retired from Orion Corp. after 42 years of service and moved to his little piece of "Heaven on Earth" in Mercer, WI, where he loved to fish for that elusive muskie (musky) and enjoy the peaceful view of the lake. Ronnie died like he lived, with dignity, in control, not complaining and with a sense of humor. The Lord took a great man home with Him. He will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Pilgrim United Church of Christ (above) or to the Medical College of Wisconsin for Esophageal Cancer Research (8701 Watertown Plank Rd, Milwaukee WI 53226).

Dear Marji and family,

Our love and thoughts are with you all. We will miss Ron, his quiet ways and genuine kindness he always showed us. May the peace that passes all understanding be with you all during these next few days and weeks. God has richly blessed you by giving you Ron! I knew he was a gem of a guy the day he helped us blow bubbles with Joy dishsoap so we could make our stationery in your basement, I'm also sure he could do every craft you did Marji! He truly has touched many lives and hearts because he was a very giving person, never selfish, a servant for God wouldn't you agree? Yup, I'd say you had one of the best guys out there Marji! Feel God's love surround you all as you honor Ron's life today. We are with you in spirit. Love you, Mary and Bob Baker
