Thiessen, Ronald T. "Captain Ron" The great Ronald Thiessen passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the age of 63. Ron was always there to help out anyone, regardless of the task and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends. Ron was a very active and highly respected member of the Hudson Valley NY HOG Chapter. He was the Road Captain and recipient of numerous awards and recognition for his driving capabilities. Loving husband of Lori. Proud father of Tara and Paul. Cherished father figure of Jon, Joe, Rachel, and Carisa. Adoring Grandpa T of Nolan, Monroe, Miles, Diego, Luc, Kayla, and Tyson. Loyal friend to many, especially Guy Gebbia and Paul Kramer. Dear son of the late Howard and Florence Thiessen. Son-in-law of Orville and the late Theresa Peterson. Loving brother of the late Dennis and Carol. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Memorial gathering Saturday, April 22 at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Ron was also a respected and excellent driver for Tax Airfreight. I was able to work with Ron these past few years he was here and was always pleasant and smiling. I know he was looking forward to his retirement. I'm so sorry for the family with this loss. God rest your soul Ron, we'll miss you.
