Words cannot express the impact impressed upon me by Riva. Exemplary in every way. I can only hope that in my lifetime that I may one day be half the righteous person that she was. My deepest condonences to the entire Merkow family.

Dear Dr. Merkow and Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy on Riva's passing. Riva was a wonderful woman and we had many great conversations over the years. My youngest son Carson remembers her very well, and he too was at your house a number of times. Riva gave Carson a little doll, that he still has in his room. This past spring I left the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Pennsylvania, and Riva was the first person to contact and congratulate me. I will miss her dearly. May the wonderful memories that you have of Riva comfort you in this difficult time.
