Sandra Hiller Obituary

Hiller, Sandra K. Age 67, a life long resident of Janesville, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Janesville on November 4, 1939, daughter of the late George T. and Dorothy A. (Becker) Keeter. Sandy married Robert W. Hiller on May 3, 1969 in Janesville. Sandy attended St. Mary Catholic School and graduated from Janesville High School in 1957. Sandy was co-owner of the Rollin Pin Bakery along with her husband for many years. In her younger years, she worked at the former Chet's Restaurant and later as a cake decorator at Rollin Pin Bakery on Delavan Dr., before her marriage to Bob Hiller. Sandy was an avid collector of stuffed dolls and teddy bears and had a large collection of Cherished Teddy's and Precious Moments. Sandy was always a child at heart, who loved to travel, enjoying her very memorable trips to Disney World and Las Vegas. She was also a very meticulous woman, who worked very long and hard hours in the Bakery business, pleasing their many customers with their delightful cakes, cookies, pastries and bakery goods. She loved the company of her pet poodles that she had over the years, including her most recent addition, "Bailey" who is only 11 weeks old. Sandy was a member of the Retail Bakers of America, The Wisconsin Baker's Association and Zonta Club. She is survived by her husband Robert, two sisters, Cathy "Jo" (Brian Brenum) Keeter of Janesville and Penny White of Hudson, WI, and her children, Sherry, Tammy and Tina, one brother, Bill (Char) Keeter of Mesa, AZ and their children, Kim, Kraig, and Kendra, three step-children, Cathy (Dave) Hagen of Janesville and their daughter, Denise, Sheila (Ken) Hiller of Janesville and their son, Michael and Robert Hiller, Jr. of Janesville, and his children, Celeste and Terry. She is further survived by two special aunts, Lillian (Ken) Mickelson of Whitewater, WI and Lorraine Barfneck of Milton, WI, sisters-in-law, Lillian Wonder of Richmond, MO and Barb Hiller of Marshfield, WI, many nieces, nephews and many friends from the former Oasis Coffe Club. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-grandson, David Hagen, Jr. Memorials would be greatly appreciated if they were made in Sandy's name to the donor's favorite charity. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 313 Wall St. with Fr. Stephen Umhoeffer officiating. Burial will follow at Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Whitcomb - Lynch - Albrecht Funeral Home, 15 N. Jackson St., Janesville; (608) 752-2444; and on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
