Sin and her children have been in my thoughts and prayers since I first read of her death. She was a special spirit who touched all who she came in contact with. As others have mentioned I too have the gift she brought me after a trip home. It reminds me how she was always thinking of others and working to make others happy. May memories of Sin's smile sustain all who knew her especially her children.

I met Sin when I was in UWEC in fall of 1988. I treated her as my sister and we shared together a lot of happiness and sadness during the 4 years in Eau Claire.
We still keep in touch after I moved back to Hong Kong. We teased each other about the silly things that we did in Eau Claire.
I was shocked when I heard the news. But I know that our stories will stay still in my memory and I'll miss her from here.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sin and her beautiful children. Sin was a hard working, motivated woman who's energy easily rubbed off when around her. Andrew and Wendy were in soccer and gymnastics with our girls - Wendy and my daughter Elise were more interested in picking the flowers than kicking the soccer ball and Andrew was such a sport to help the other parents in coaching the soccer team. Sin was so proud of them and we shared laughs on the sidelines.

Amidst the mind-numbing grief and sorrow that surrounds all of us I pray that the Trattner and Lam families feel the vast amount of heartfelt love and concern that surrounds each one of them. Sin was truly a gift from heaven and her beauty will live on in Andy and Wendy.

When a long time friend wrote to inform me of Sin Lam's death, I still had trouble putting a face to the name; until I saw her photo. Memories of her-and that honest smile-came rushing back to me; even conversations I have had with her.
I am deeply sorry for her death and will keep her children at the forefront of my prayers. May they be conforted by all the kind words from people who knew their loving mother.

The first time I saw Sin Lam was when she came to University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in the fall of 1989 as fresh man.
Sin Lam always carry with her a kind of energy, enthusiasm, and kindness that is more than contagious. She is hardworking, smart and honest.
Her passing is absolutely un-fortunate and I am still trying to absorb the news.
I feel sorry for her children and I pray that they will be in safe pair of hands to take care of their future.
All this effort being put in place by her friends and colleagues in Wisconsin i.e. trust funds and this website, is true reflection of Sin Lam's kindness.

My parents were Sin's host parents when she came to the US to attend UWEC. Sin was a caring, compassionate and very loving sister to me. Words will never be able to describe how she touched our whole family. We will greatly miss her. Andy and Wendy, our thoughts and prayers are always with you.

I worked closely with Sin about 11 years ago. We had a difficult project to complete, but she was always fun, optimistic, and absolutely diligent about getting the work done. We struck up a friendship that lapsed in recent years, but I've always continued to think of her as a good friend--someone you'd be happy to bump into at any time. It makes me incredibly sad to think that she's no longer brightening someone's day. Her family will always remain in my prayers.

Sin and I worked together at Capital Returns and she was an inspiration to be around. She was always positive and upbeat. She truly cared about those around her and always had a kind word or smile to share.

We were Sin and Steves neighbors for nearly 12 years. We rejoiced in the birth of their two children, spent picnics, Halloween parties and fun times with them. The shock and saddness have been difficult thing to deal with. Each day we see their home and are reminded of the wonderful family they were. Sin always had time to stop and talk, was upbeat, kind and full of life. She was so dedicated to her children. We feel such sorrow for the them. We will great miss Sins presence and a hugh hole has been left by her passing and the loss of the entire family. We love and miss you...

Sin had an impact on everyone that met her. I will never forget her smile, her spunk and her kind heart. She was intelligent, succesful, motivated and a joy to work with! She never let any of us have a bad day and tried everything she could to cheer up someone who was down. She was a great mother and loved to share stories about her kids with us at work. She also gave me great advice on raising babies and toddlers! To Sin's family - I am so sorry for your loss - you will be in my thoughts and prayers. We have all lost a wonderful friend.

Working with Sin made everything pleasent. On my worst of days I could trust her to continue to give the same friendly upbeat personalty to cheer me up. Probably my happiest moment at work ever, was when Sin really out did herself with decorating my cube as a birthday suprise for me.
She has honored my family through the years with gifts and favors. My family and I will never forget her or things she has done.
I added a picture to the photo gallery that I took of her when we worked together at Whittman-Hart/marchFIRST/divine days.

I know Sin Lam from UWEC. We were part of the Chinese Student's Association and had great fun organising different events. Our Chinese dinner was probably the biggest thing Eau Claire had seen since there were more of them than us. Such fun and such great memories.
My last meeting with Sin Lam was in early 2000 in Singapore. We had a nice lunch, I met the kids and we spoke very fondly about our days in UWEC.
Sin Lam's passing has come as a sad shock.
A good person, a great friend and a loving mother - gone too soon.
