I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know Slack. He was such an intelligent and humble man who lived a very full and interesting life. He spoke often of his family and how happy he was for them, and the lives they had created for themselves. Though I only knew him for a short time, I will miss him.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Slack only one time. He was a wonderful, kind man...a true gentleman. My prayers, and the prayers of my family, are with you all. GOD Bless You.

Slack was a wonderful husband, father, social activist and liberal thinker. He is much missed by all of us who knew him.
