Steve will forever be remembered as a devoted family man, loyal friend, and admired community member. His greatest pride and joy were his wife and children. Mr & Mrs Luther, Marsha & Family, My deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of Steve. I got to know Steve well through Andy during high school when Steve would come to Baraboo. My families thoughts and prayers are with you. May Steve's memory be eternal.

Roy,Lois,Geoff,Teresa,Marsha and extended family:
Words definitely can't express how I feel about the loss of a childhood friend. Memories of bike races around the neighborhood, games of horse at the Luther house, card games in the Paap's camper, and all of the crazy things we do as kids came back to me quite suddenly upon the news of Steve's passing. Although I can't say that I had the pleasure to know him as an adult, I believe that he lived his adult life as he did his childhood - caring, compassionate and a friend to all he came in contact with. Friends made during childhood seem to last forever even if separated by distance. Memories are what we cherish, and I hope will ease some of the pain that your family is experiencing. Know that you will be in the hearts and prayers of my family as you go through this difficult time with yours.
God be with you all and love to your family from mine.

I'll never forget that Steve and I had the same exact schedule throughout the BJHS eighth grade school year. He talked then about working the land when he grew up, and then went on and did what he always wanted to do. Steve was a genuinely nice kid then, and when we talked again at the 20-year class reunion nothing had changed. My sympathies to the entire Luther family.

It wasn't that long ago that I remember putting Steve and Jeff to bed. Sometimes letting them stay up a little longer than I should have. Both of your boys were good kids and I am sure that Steve will be missed by all that knew him. Kristi and I offer you our prayers and heart felt sympathy on Steve's early passing. We shall say a prayer for your family and hope that knowing so many people remember his spirit fondly will somehow ease your pain.
