Stephen Jon Preisler

Stephen "Steve" Jon Preisler passed away on May 14th at age 79 with his daughters by his side, after battling melanoma for several years. Steve was an active member in the Hartland, WI and River Falls, WI communities. To those who knew him, he wore a lot of hats and juggled a lot of balls, and truly enjoyed spending time with everyone he met. Steve was a role model to many and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Mara (Doug) Mashek, grandchildren Jenna and Sean, daughter Elizabeth (Eric) Runquist, grandchildren Owen and Crosby. He is further survived by sister Mary Ann (Skip) Nelson, sister-in-law Patricia Preisler, sister-in-law Mary Preisler, sister-in-law Kathy (Tim) Roesch, sister-in-law Tricia (Terry) McCarthy, brother-in-law Ronald (Alice) Bredl and all of their extended families. He was also the proud Dad to AFS Exchange students Stefano Bernabino from Turin, Italy and Daniel Thull from Koblenz, Germany. He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Diane, his parents, Stephen John and Leona Preisler, brothers, Roger Preisler and Carl Preisler, mother- in-law Marion Bredl and father-in-law Eugene Bredl.

Steve's life will be celebrated with a memorial service on June 11th at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in River Falls, WI, starting with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. O'Connell Benedict Family Funeral Homes, River Falls, WI is assisting the family with all the arrangements. www.oconnellbenedict.com
