Steven Durchslag Obituary

Durchslag, Steven Passed away March 24, 2017 at the age of 55. Loving son of Elaine (Nee Gould) and the late Ronald Durchslag, dear brother of Phillip (Marie) Durchslag, Rachel (Paul) Greenspan and uncle of Rebecca and Avi Greenspan. Further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Steve was fortunate to have very special people in his life and we are grateful to his doctors and caregivers at the Brotoloc and Hilltop facilities. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation which awards funds that lead to advances and breakthroughs in mental illness through scientific research. CONDOLENCES TO MY HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND ELAINE GOULD, WHO LIVED NEAR N. 17 & W. WRIGHT ST, IN THE MID-50'S, WHEN WE BOTH ATTENDED NORTH DIVISION HIGH SCHOOL.

ALTHOUGH I MOVED FROM MILWAUKEE OVER 37 YEARS AGO, I SPOKE TO ELAINE WHEN SHE WAS EMPLOYED BY BETH ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO. ALTHOUGH, I NEVER KNEW OR REMEMBER HER SON, I ALSO BECAME FRIENDS WITH HER COUSIN TOBY KIANOVSKY, WHO LIVED IN SHOREWOOD, NEAR WILSON AND CAPITOL DR.

DONALD H. PINSKER, PROUD FORMER MILWAUKEE POLICE OFFICER INVESTIGATOR, WHO RESIGNED AFTER 18 PLUS YEARS TO RETURN TO HIS BROADCAST ENGINEERING CAREER, BUT IN LOS ANGELES, THE LAND OF SUN AND NO SNOW AND COLD WEATHER. 1962-1980

RETIRED BROADCAST ENGINEER, THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK, WEST COAST HEADQUARTERS, TELEVISION CITY, HOLLYWOOD , LOS ANGELES. 1982-2005.

STILL SINGING THE MUSIC OF SINATRA, TONY BENNETT, AND NAT "KING" COLE.
