Steven L. Palmert

Palmert, Steven L. Found Eternal Peace September 8, 2006, just prior to his 97th birthday. Preceded in death by Elizabeth, his loving wife of 62 years. Beloved father of Arlene (Jimmy) Finn, Steven H. (Becky) Palmert, Diane Palmert, John (Jane) Palmert, Elise (Bob) Riepenhoff, Vicki Brzeski, all of the Milwaukee area and MaryAnn (Don) Parks of Texas. He was much loved and will be sadly missed by 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered by his many friends at San Camillo for his generosity, bridge games and warm hugs. Steve graduated in 1931 from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served as chief industrial engineer for Harley Davidson Motor Company from 1957 until his retirement in 1974. After retiring, he taught at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and founded SJS Industries with his sons. He devoted many hours to charitable work in religious, community and professional organizations, including the Society for the Advancement of Management, the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, various PTA's, Holy Name Society, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was a bright, accomplished man, who was most proud of his wife and family. They are proud of him and admired his kindness, generosity, intellectual curiosity and gregarious personality. Visitation on Monday, September 18 at San Camillo Chapel (10200 W. Bluemound Rd., Wauwatosa) from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to the St. Camillus Foundation.
