Thomas O'Brien Obituary

O'Brien, Dr. Thomas Joseph Born to Eternal Life Friday, January 23, 2015, age 84 years. Beloved husband for 50 years of the late Barbara (nee Fuechsl). Dear father of Dan, Dave (Lynn), Amy (Geoff) Baker and Liz (Toby Cox). Loving grandfather of Andy, Katie, Joanna, Tim, Scott, Kevin, Karen, Mark, Eliana, Simon, Sophie, Annie, and Isabel. Further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, January 26 from 9:30am until 11:15am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at ST. BERNARD PARISH, 1500 Wauwatosa Avenue, Wauwatosa. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Visitation Cemetery, Elm Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Parkinson Association appreciated. Tom practiced as a periodontist for 41 years and taught at the Marquette School of Dentistry. He was a veteran of the US Army serving for 2 years in Korea. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

I knew the O'Brien family when we lived across the street on stickney Ave., and used to walk home from school with Tom and other neighborhood kids. My brother Jack married Tom's sister Mary . My sympathy for your loss...Tom was a lot of fun in those early years when I knew him.
