To the Opalewski Family: My prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Time will dull the pain of your loss, but your memories of this wonderful man will live on forever. I will remember Tom as a quiet man who loved and cared about his family most of all, but also as a man who was kind to anyone he met. I didn't have the opportunity to see him a lot, but when I did he always remembered I was his Aunt Cel's granddaughter. God Bless all of you.

My brother Tom always liked to try new adventures. We were at Lake Mendota for a family picnic when he was just getting into sailing. Tom decided we should rent a sail boat. He was very motivated, and wanted to rent the biggest sail boat. I managed to convince him that we should rent a medium size boat, I was a bit nervous, but knew I would be ok I was with my big brother. We got the boat in the water, sail up and started going in circles. I asked Tom have you ever sailed before, he said no but I read books on it. We did get the boat to sail the right way and had a wonderful time. Tom continued to sail boats and became quite good at it. Tom has gone on another adventure, but he has not left us behind because he will always be in our hearts. I will miss you so much my brother Tom.
