I only met Tom once but from our meeting, it was clear that he was an outstanding man who loved his family, loved his country and loved Milwaukee. His humility and smile said it all. God bless the Rick's family.

I was sad to hear the news of Tom's passing. I work for one of the Retirement System's banks and knew Tom professionally. He was a brilliant man with a gift for being able to communicate complicated topics in terms everyone could understand. The wisdom and common sense that he brought to meetings will be greatly missed. The kindness that he showed me will never be forgotten. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Tom Rick was a respected as a man and as a investment professional far beyond the many realms over which he reigned. The simple dignity of his life, his manly virtues, his sense of duty - alike as a leader and a servant of the vast spheres and communities for which he bore responsibility - his charm and happy nature, his example as a husband and a father in his own family circle, his courage in peace or war as a naval aviator - all these were aspects of his character which won the glint of admiration, now here, now there, from the innumerable eyes whose gaze falls upon the man we knew as Tom Rick.

We are deeply saddened by Tom's passing. There are no words to describe the loss the Rick family is feeling at this time. And while Tom is soaring as an angel today, he left his mark as the guiding light of his family, as a caring son and brother, as a kind and giving friend and much more. He will be sorely missed by all those whose life he touched with his sense of humor, laughter, intelligence, kindness and gentle demeanor. Our hearts ache for the Rick family as they travel this journey but we know they have countless memories of the amazing person Tom was that will carry them through these difficult days ahead. Our sympathy and love goes to the entire Rick family.
