Doris and Family--We were so saddened to learn about Tom's death. He was a remarkable man: smart, innovative, caring and family-oriented. We remember the beautiful Pascha celebrations after midnight service at your home in Wauwatosa. Phil always enjoyed his many conversations with Tom on a wide range of topics. He will be dearly missed. He led a rich and full life. May his memory be eternal.

Dear Aunt Doris, Sophia, Nick, Elaine, and Families,
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Uncle Tom. He was a solid foundation for your family and uncompromising in his beliefs. Based on his boundless knowledge, he was one of the few people in this world who actually knew the truth about important issues. One thing I'll miss is his hearty welcome each time I saw him.
I give him credit for pointing me in the right direction (along with my parents) on many issues. Here's a list, by no means complete: Work – he hired me as a 16-year old to chart graphs for his investment company- - not only was I fed one of Aunt Doris' tasty meals each evening, I also learned about investment analysis & public companies, and how to create documents with precision that would be useful to those interpreting them. Guess what- - I've been happily employed in the investment business for the last 25 years and have Uncle Tom to thank.
Persistency – as I watched him triumph over every obstacle he faced while developing his backup system for airplane instruments, I realized that “refusing to give up” is an option when dealing with a seemingly overwhelming issue.
Believing In, and Depending On Self – I learned to rely, depend, and believe in myself to make things happen rather than waiting for others to decide how my life's path will unfold.
Health – yes, he was completely right regarding diet and its' effect on our health. I recently finished reading one of Uncle Tom's recommendations (Dr. Fuhrman, Super Immunity) and by changing my diet, nagging life-long ailments are gone.
Family – always be there for your family, through thick and thin. Be the resource, but don't make problem go away; let life's challenges make you stronger as you conquer them.
Education – by his example, I learned to keep reading and educating myself forever.
For these lessons I'll be forever grateful. Thank you Uncle Tom.

To The Zompolas Family,

Although we are all saddened by Uncle Tom's passing, we also count our blessings of having his presence in our lives.

Uncle Tom danced to the beat of his own drummer and was truly one of the most inspiring individuals that I have ever met in my life. His commitment to family, faith, health, thought and integrity were demonstrated every day of his life. I will never forget the kindness with which he cared for his sister throughout her life; for that, our family is eternally grateful. He now joins her and all of his family members in eternal life.

Nouno, your memory will be eternal!

With Love,
Jeff, Tracy and Dimitri

My deepest sympathy to Tom's entire family on his passing. My heart aches his loss. Tom was a second father to me. I will never forget all of the memories our two families have shared together, especially the trips to Ashland as I was growing up. I'm grateful I was able to take another trip to Ashland with your family last summer so more memories could be added. The trip back home was interesting because Tom shared the backseat of the car with my newly acquired kitten, Linus, who he proceded to rename "Stinky". I can't help but smile when I remember that trip back home. I'm going to miss the numerous emails Tom would send. I'll be thinking of him on election day. I'm happy he was able to get his vote counted. He was a passionate and loving man. I like to think of him as being reunited with Nancy and my parents as well. Tom and your entire family will remain in my heart forever. We lost a good one!!!
